The 'Bittersweet Heart' is an evocative piece that captures the feeling of bittersweet love through the delicate medium of pressed flower petals. These have all been collected from my garden here in The Netherlands.

Within the heart shape, the artwork tells the poignant story through its colours and form. Starting with bright yellow and orange petals, it evokes feelings of light happiness and joy. As the love deepens and becomes tinged with bittersweetness, the colours transition to rich, deep reds, culminating in almost black hues.

A recurrent theme of Gothic tales is that of bittersweet love, and these pieces of natural artwork have been designed with this theme in mind.

This plant artwork was made using petals from the Gerbera flower.

Packaging

All of the mailing boxes we use can be re-used or recycled.

Tissue paper and stickers can either be recycled or even composted. The tissue paper is logo free so feel free to re-use it for another gift.

Glassine bags can be re-used.

Embroidery & Art

The items we make are intended to last a long time, so that you can enjoy them for many years.

All pictures are mounted on cotton rag paper, and our instruction booklets are made from combinations of recycled materials, FSC certified paper, or by-products of other processes.

Gift Wrap & Fabric

Gift wrap paper is printed on recycled paper using vegetable oils. Ribbon is washable and re-usable.

The fabric bags are either made from leftover fabric from other projects or printed to order using water-based inks.
