The 'Bittersweet' design has been inspired by the portrayal of love and romance in Gothic literature, which usually comes with a twist. Love is powerful and intense, and when uncertainty arrives, calmness and tranquility are disrupted. Often aligned with loss, death and grief, love and romance in Gothic literature is tragic and bittersweet.

Wool felt is sturdy and can be stitched without a hoop, so you can choose to buy the kit with or without a hoop. If you are just starting out, you may want to start with a hoop.

Packaging

All of the mailing boxes we use can be re-used or recycled.

Tissue paper and stickers can either be recycled or even composted. The tissue paper is logo free so feel free to re-use it for another gift.

Glassine bags can be re-used.

Embroidery & Art

The items we make are intended to last a long time, so that you can enjoy them for many years.

All pictures are mounted on cotton rag paper, and our instruction booklets are made from combinations of recycled materials, FSC certified paper, or by-products of other processes.

Gift Wrap & Fabric

Gift wrap paper is printed on recycled paper using vegetable oils. Ribbon is washable and re-usable.

The fabric bags are either made from leftover fabric from other projects or printed to order using water-based inks.
